The main characteristics of the different regions
The Mount Everest Region offers many tours on top of the world. In general the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek is more difficult because of the altitude. Also you will not see so many animals.
The Annapurna Trek is less crowded than the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek, because there exists a higher variety of different paths and so the trekkers are more equally distributed in that region. Moreover it is less difficult to trek because of lower altitude. You will see much agriculture, lifestyle of people, villages, culture, rain forest and lots of birds. It is important to mention that a few years ago roads were built at Annapurna Circuit Trek. Formerly trekking Annapurna Circuit took around 21 days but with roads now it takes 8 to 10 days.
The Langtang Region is very popular for bird watching. Likewise its treks are more adventurous as the area is visited by a few number of tourists.
The Manaslu Region is similar to Annapurna region, but there exists a different lifestyle of the people. The culture of the people is close to Tibetan culture because it is so close to the border of Tibet. Additionally the scenery very nice and Manaslu Base Camp is a “piece of cake”. The whole region is without roads and cars.
