Tashi Lapcha Pass Rolwaling trekking is one of Nepal’s finest high mountain valleys West of the Khumhu. Directly on the Tibetan frontier there is a wild, lonely high valley the “Rolwaling” which is called simply “the grave” by the indigenous Sherpa’s on account of its location – buried down between steep ice-giants. Many mysterious stories have been passed on about this valley. Through which the forefathers of the present-day Sherpa’s once came. It is here that the notorious and celebrated Yeti is supposed to make his home. Entire research expeditions have, so far unsuccessfully, attempted to find him.
Diverse flora and fauna, rich local culture and heritage are the other highlights of Tashi lapcha pass trekking. Along the journey, there are some blue ice and craves on the pass, so sometimes it is technically very difficult.

Testimonials

  • Just wanted to throw out a small plug for Ganesh and Gabish – a father and son owned trekking company in Nepal. In 2013, Susanne and I were lucky enough to have Ganesh as a guide for our quiet two week hike through the Tsum Valley. He really is fantastic at his job and has an amazing singing voice (a bonus on long days of hiking)!!! Many trekking providers are not owned by their guides, so your money does not always go into the pockets of those that work the hardest. If any of you guys out there are considering a holiday to Nepal or know someone who is, you should get in touch with Ganesh and Gabish at Nature Hike Nepal – https://www.naturehikenepal.com – and hopefully Ganesh will be free to show you around !! – Dan and Sussanne

  • We trekked with Ganesh in November of 2014 when we did the Everest Base Camp trek for our honeymoon. What an amazing experience! Ganesh was so knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy.

His English is great and he is a very good communicator. He took such good care to make sure we had a wonderful experience. When we started the trek, Ganesh was our guide. By the time we finished the trip, Ganesh was our friend. I’ve recommended Ganesh to several friends that visited Nepal after us and they all share the same feedback about Ganesh. He is fantastic!! – Mary Messer
