Short Annapurna Circuit Trek is a hiking package to enjoy the beauty of Manang village, feel the adventure of Thorong La pass (5415 m.) and visit the holy temple of Muktinath. In Annapurna circuit short trek for 10 days, the visitors can explore the north face of complete Annapurna range, Gangapurna glacier, and Buddhist cultural sites from ancient times.

The most exciting part of the trip is to cross the Thorong La pass and which might be little tough for beginners but enjoyable for moderate and experienced hikers. This is why Annapurna circuit is famous among the adventure trekkers. Another fascinating part of Annaopurna circuit hiking adventure is enjoy the view for 109 continuing running water taps in Muktinath temple and to visit Kagbeni which separates lower and upper Mustang. This is very ideal trek for those who have limited time but still want to do the trek to Annapurna circuit.

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Chame (2670 m.) – 09 hrs. Drive.

Day 02: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3300 m.) – 05 hrs. Walk.

Day 03: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (Two alternatives: recommended upper route: along Ghyaru and Ngawal (no Trail, more beautiful) – 06 hrs. Walk; lower route: along Humde (easier because of road) – 04 hrs. Walk.)

Day 04: Acclimatize in Manang (3540 m.): Hike to Gongopurna glacier – 02 hrs. Walk OR Ice Lake (4600 m.) – 06/07 hrs. Walk. (pack lunch)

Day 05: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4040 m.) – 04 hrs. Walk.

Day 06: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4525 m.) – 04 hrs. Walk. OR Thorong High Camp (4925 m.) – 05 hrs. Walk. (steep from Phedi to High Camp – 01 hour.)

Day 07: Trek from Thorong Phed/High Camp to Muktinath (3760 m.) – 09/08 hrs. Walk Via Thorong La Pass (5416 m.)

Day 08: Drive from Muktinath to Beni – 07 hrs. Drive (or if you want to shorten the trek you can take a plane from Jomsom to Pokhara – 35 min.)

Day 09: Drive Beni to Pokhara – 04 hrs.  and  sightseeing Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu 08 hrs.

 

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Chame (2670 m.) – 09 hours Drive.

The road leads along the mountain and thundering rivers like Trishuli and Marshyandi. The green hill road is really amazing. Also lunch is provided on the way to Beshisahar.

Day 02: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3300 m.) – 05 hrs. Walk.

We follow the trails of Marshyangdi to Brathang from where we get a spectacular close-up view of Annapurna II (7937m). We continue the trek via the forest with the amazing Paungda Danda rock face escalating more than 5,000 feet from the stream. After passing a suspension.

bridge, we ascend for some time and then walk downhill to the valley floor. Finally, we walk across dry grazing land dwelling at Dhukur Pokhari. After walking for around half an hour from Dhukur Pokhari, we reach Pisang (3,190 m.) Finally there are good views of the Annapurna range and Pisang Peak (6091 m.) seen from the village of Pisang. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 03: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (Two alternatives: recommended upper route: along Ghyaru and Ngawal (no road, more beautiful) – 06 hrs. Walk; lower route: along Humde (easier because of road) – 04 hrs. Walk.)

We trek on a difficult road onto the dry Nyesyang region that starts from Upper Pisang and offers some of the best landscapes. Ghyaru is a captivating cluster-village with attractively built stone houses enclosed by meadows of wheat, barley, buckwheat, potatoes, and beans. Then, along high cross with great landscape, up and down the valley, to Ngawal-an exciting village with Gompa and age-old juniper trees. The trail now slowly descends to Mungji from where we head to reach the renowned Thakali village of Manang. You will be enjoying with the best view of Annapurna range. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Acclimatize in Manang (3540 m.): Hike to Gongopurna glacier – 02 hrs. Walk. OR Ice Lake (4600 m.) – 06/07 hrs. Walk. (pack lunch)

This is the day to acclimatize to the higher altitude. There are splendid views of the surrounding peaks from Manang. Manang is a large village situated on a rise immediately across from the huge glacier descending from Glacier Dome and Gangapurna. Besidesd a beautiful emerald lake lies at its foot. Overnight in Manang. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4040 m.) – 04 hrs. Walk.

After Manang the trail climbs steeply to the village of Tenki, which is the last permanent settlement, this side of the Thorung La. Moreover we climb a little further and then contour slowly past pastures to Yak Kharka situated at 4040 m. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4525 m.) – 04 hrs. Walk OR Thorong High Camp (4925 m.) – 05 hrs. Walk (very steep from Phedi to High Camp – 01 hour.)

It is a difficult trek to Thorang Phedi. After walking further, we pass a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. We climb furthermore and pass via immense cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi. Morover on this trip, we are able to witness one of the finest views of peaks like Gundang (5312 m.), Syagang (6026 m.), Thorung (6644 m.), and Khatungkang (6484 m.) The word Phedi in Nepalese denotes the foot of a mountain. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Trek from Thorong Phed/High Camp to Muktinath (3760 m.) – 09/08 hrs. Walk by Thorong La Pass (5416 m.)

We start early from Phedi/High Camp as we walk up a tough trail today. Climbing up on a steep and narrow trail, we reach the highest pass of the world, Thorong La Pass (5416 m.). Further from Thorong La Pass, we can enjoy the amazing views of the Annapurna range to the south and Mukut Himal (6473 m.) bordering Dolpo to the west. The trail goes downhill over glacial moraine, which gives way to lush fields before we reach Muktinath. This is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Also holy water flows from the 108 carved taps surrounding the temple. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Drive from Muktinath to Beni –  07 hrs. Drive. (or if you want to shorten the trek you can take a plane from Jomsong to Pokhara – 35 min.)

From Muktinath a adventure mountain off-road drive to Beni.

Day 09: Drive to Pokhara – 04 hrs.

 Catch the nice road to Pokhara which takes around 04 hours. and  sightseeing around  Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu – 08 hrs. Drive.
